The Call of Cthulhu
Ronald P. Marshall - Fluff
Ron’s father was a gambler, alcoholic, and womanizer. After making the family miserable for a decade or so, he left on a binge and never came back. Is he in prison? Did he run off to Mexico with a whore? Did he cheat the wrong guy and end up floating out to sea? We may never know, but he left Ron with a rather dim view of humanity and hard work.
Ron quickly figured out that telling people you’d graduated from High School was easier than actually going, and left to make his fortune by swindling it out of other people. He’s traveled for years now, selling magazine subscriptions, kitchen knives, insurance, dodgy real estate, and anything else people are willing to waste money on. He’s also spent a lot of time getting to know bored and lonely housewives and doubtlessly fathered a few bastards of his own. The only real excitement in life for Ron is figuring out a new way to con someone out of their life’s savings. Ron has no real respect for anyone – including himself.
